ISP Internships

Team reporting in the field

ISP interns pair up with veteran reporters and a camera crew as they film a week of interviews, then work on a single story as a team. Under the guidance of ISP advisers, they conduct research, interview experts, and discuss their findings in story meetings.

This year, our interns are working on "Moneyball Medicine," a look at how some hospitals have started determining their patients' level of care according to their likelihood of donating money to those hospitals. "Moneyball medicine" has become widespread across the country, but we're focusing on how it's affected healthcare in Louisiana.
