We conduct the third of three interviews with distinguished journalists. This week's interview subject: Renette Dejoie Hall.


Before class, students will work in pairs to prepare interview questions. Afterwards, we'll discuss the strengths and weaknesses of all three of our in-class interviews and how we might work them into print, video, or interactive pieces.

INTERVIEW #3 ASSIGNMENTS

  • Students ask questions according to starting-question assignments (see feedback on interview questions you turned in)
  • After asking your starting question, you should follow up with whatever questions flow naturally from Ms. Dejoie Hall's response

WORKSHOP

HOMEWORK

  • Write three one-paragraph pitches for an article on our investigative project
